- Analyse work processes to determine inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a clear logical approach to problem solving.
- Design-review solutions to ensure best practices, avoid performance bottlenecks and identify improvements to our workflows.
- Perform regression, non-functional, smoke and sanity testing on content processing platforms containing multiple integration points.
- Manage the creation, updates and status of issues detected during the test execution phase and drive resolution through change control.
- Report Test execution status to Platform Managers to ensure that all project deliverables are appropriately verified and approved before deployments.
- Design, review and update testcases with peers and product owners.
- Experience in supporting content processing platforms, with an emphasis on testing and monitoring.
- Experience with AWS Infrastructure & Services, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, API’s.
- Experience with encoding and content analysis.
- Experience in Media, Broadcast or OTT industry.
- Familiarity with at least one automation framework and programming/scripting language.
- Quick to pick up new technologies.
- Good Linux, IT and networking skills.
- Good communication, attention to detail, open and collaborative.

Team overview
The Sky Production Platform team is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Content Platform Tester. The Content Platform Tester should have a background in both manual and automated testing, they will be required to use standard industry tools to test development and implement automated tests on large-scale cloud-hosted applications and client API’s to ensure product quality!
